Cedar Shakes and Shingles
Northern white cedar makes excellent shakes and shingles. On a roof it will weather to a beautiful silver grey. When used as siding, cedar shakes and shingles are both functional and economical. Let them weather or you may stain them.

16" shingles are almost always in stock. 24" shingles and shakes are less likely to be stocked in sizeable amounts. Please try to order well in advance.

White cedar, clear #1, 18" x 3/4" average thickness, 3 1/2-12" wide, straight split (both sides), edge sawn. These are the finest shakes available. Sidewall shakes may contain knots above exposure line.
